Cookies Policy
The short version: a few small files help the site work and tell us which pages people actually read. Here's what each one does and how to switch them off.
This page covers what cookies Great IPTV places on greateiptv.online, why each one is there, and the controls you have. For the bigger picture on how we treat your data, take a look at our Privacy Policy.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are tiny text files your browser saves when you load a website. They're how the site remembers small things between visits — your language choice, whether you've already dismissed a banner, or that you're mid-checkout. Without them, every page would treat you like a brand-new visitor.
Some cookies disappear the moment you close the tab (those are session cookies). Others hang around for weeks or years until they expire or you clear them yourself (persistent cookies).
2. Why We Use Them
We keep the cookie list short on purpose. Ours fall into four jobs:
- Keep core features working — the pricing toggle, the trial form, the mobile menu.
- Remember your cookie choice so we don't keep asking you on every page.
- Help us see which pages get read and which ones flop, so we can fix the bad ones.
- Show relevant offers if (and only if) you've said yes to marketing cookies.
3. The Cookies We Set
Essential Cookies
These have to be on for the site to function at all. Switch them off and the trial form, pricing toggle, and mobile menu stop responding. There's no opt-out for these — if there were, you wouldn't be able to use the site.
| Cookie Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
cookie_consent |
Remembers the choice you made in our consent banner | 1 year (localStorage) |
Analytics Cookies
We run Google Analytics so we can see things like which channels page is most read or where people drop off in checkout. The data is grouped together and stripped of anything that points back to you personally — we can't identify you from it, and we don't try to.
| Cookie Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
_ga |
Google Analytics — tells one visitor apart from another | 2 years |
_ga_* |
Google Analytics — keeps track of your current session | 2 years |
Analytics cookies don't fire until you tap "Accept" on the consent banner. Say no and they stay off.
Third-Party Cookies
If you click through to pay (PayPal, Stripe), those companies will set their own cookies once you land on their checkout. We don't see them, can't read them, and can't switch them off from our side. Their cookie policies are on their own sites — worth a quick read if you're curious.
4. Your Choices
The first time you land here, a small banner asks if you're OK with non-essential cookies. Whichever way you answer, you can change your mind at any time using the options below.
Reset your consent
Tap this button and we'll wipe your saved choice. The banner will pop up again on your next page load so you can pick fresh.
Browser settings
You can also handle cookies from your browser, which gives you control across every site you visit:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
- Firefox: Options → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Cookies and site data
Heads up: blocking everything will break parts of the site. The trial form and pricing toggle both need their cookies to do their job.
Opt out of Google Analytics
If you'd rather Google Analytics never see you again — on our site or anywhere else — install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. One install, every site covered.
5. Updates to This Policy
We'll tweak this page if we add or remove a cookie, or if the rules around cookies shift. When that happens, the "Last updated" date at the top moves with it. No surprise rewrites buried in fine print.
6. Get in Touch
Got a question about a specific cookie or want us to walk you through anything here? Drop us a note via our contact page and we'll write back inside 48 hours.
